Each door leads to a different personification of OMORI's fears and memories, twisted through a grim lens.Īfter overcoming SOMETHING, SUNNY winds up on a peaceful field and returns to BLACK SPACE to recover his memories of MARI's death. While WHITE SPACE was used by OMORI to repress SOMETHING from SUNNY's mind, BLACK SPACE does the opposite OMORI is haunted by SOMETHING and STRANGER throughout his exploration of the many doors and areas that inhabit BLACK SPACE. On the SUNNY ROUTE, OMORI enters BLACK SPACE through a void hole in BASIL'S HOUSE after solving the HANGMAN sentence. This is notably seen through one of the BLACK SPACE 2 rooms known as STATIC VOID, where various glitching HEADSPACE residents end up turning into one of the SOMETHING variants due to BLACK SPACE's overwhelming presence. One disturbing fact regarding this eldritch location is that HEADSPACE inhabitants who stay too long in BLACK SPACE transform into disfigured SOMETHINGs. KITE KID describes BLACK SPACE as a "DARK VOID" in the sky. It is implied that BLACK SPACE lies at the outer bounds of OMORI's dream world and is slowly trickling further inwards. It is even possible for the player to gain access to BLACK SPACE 2 during a SUNNY ROUTE run, most notably during RAFT AREA and BACKYARD AREA in BLACK SPACE 1.
